The Chakra System

~ The Chakra System ~

Chakra is a Sanskrit word, meaning,”wheel.” The human chakras are “wheel-like” vortices that exist on the surface of the etheric human body. At the center of each chakra, in its deepest point, is a stem-like channel that extends to the spine and merges with it; thus connecting the individual chakra with the sushumna (the most important energy channel) which ascends within the spine to the top of the head. Chakras are energy centers. They function like receivers and transformers of the various forms of Qi (life force or vital energy). Through the nadis (network of channels or arteries that transport Qi throughout the human being’s energy system). The chakras take in the vital energy and transform it into the frequencies needed by the various areas of the physical bodies for sustenance and development. Traditional writings say there are 88,000 chakras in the human body. Most are extremely small and play a minor role in your energy system. However, there are approximately 40 secondary chakras that are of significance; these are located in your spleen, the back of your neck, the palms of your hands and the soles of your feet. Each chakra is connected with one of the elements of earth, water, air, ether, and mind – mind being an instrument of consciousness. These elements are states of matter and NOT elements as we understand them in modern chemistry. They are equivalent to the terms: solid, liquid, fiery or gaseous, airy, and etheric – which are somewhat analogous to the physical, astral and mental planes and sub-planes.

The ethereal body is located approximately 2-5cm in front and around your physical body. It is the life force body, because it provides the biological body with cellular genetic guidance. It is not completely separate but interacts and sustains the life of the biological body. There are specific channels of energy exchange, which allow the flow of energy to move from one system to another. This life force energy, commonly known as “Qi,” is supplied to the ethereal body via an ethereal cord that connects to Earth’s ethereal body. Without this ethereal cord, the physical body would die. The electromagnetic energy that flows around the ethereal body is known as “Qi.” This bio energy (sub atomic light energy) circulates around the ethereal body, through a number of tiny web-like ducts, pipes, or channels called “Nadis.” These nadis lines are an extensive network or transport system that connects the ethereal body with the biological body. Qi energy flows through ethereal matter and provides the power and energy to regenerate the ethereal body. This bio energy or “Qi” is the fuel for the ethereal body. It consists of high frequency light that keeps the ethereal body alive to sustain and preserve your biological body. The ethereal energy system or nadis lines connect at special energy nodes called “Chakras.” The chakra energy system consists of twelve (12) chakras or energy centres. There are seven (7) primary chakras, which transport electromagnetic energy by entering and exiting your physical body and five (5) external chakras. The chakras act as an energy transformer – Qi flows through the various nadis lines and are processed and distributed by chakras after the energy is modulated into a different frequency. This energy is translated into hormonal, physiological, and cellular changes in the biological body.

The chakras are arranged as an ascending column and start at the base of the spine and finish at the skull. The locations of these seven primary chakras have a direct interaction to the biological body including the major nerve plexus and endocrine gland. The seven primary chakras are generally associated with specific colors and each has a specific ascending frequency. In various traditions, chakras are visualized as wheels/lotuses/flowers with a different number of petals/spokes in each chakra. The chakras could be termed “non physical organs” that operate on specific frequencies and wavelengths, and connect the biological body with the ethereal body. Chakras are more like swirling vortexes of electromagnetic energy. This energy moves through them like water flows down a funnel. By alternately spinning clockwise and counter clockwise, our chakras maintain a dynamic balance between receiving and building energy (done through the clockwise motion) and releasing excess energy (done through the counter clockwise motion).

The chakra system influences your biological body through the endocrine glands. Each chakra is associated with a different endocrine gland. Just as there are seven chakras, there are seven endocrine glands. Both the chakras and the endocrine glands are located along the front of spinal cord. The endocrine glands manufacture hormones and supply them to the bloodstream. When a chakra is damaged, it causes disruption to the function of its associated endocrine gland. Because the activity of the endocrine glands and nerve plexuses are interrelated and interdependent, when an endocrine gland does not function properly, it influences the entire biological body.

Chakras are like magnets and that is the main reason for their blockages (energy transference), the lower chakras operate on the lowest frequency, so they automatically pull or attract the denser (heaviest) electromagnetic energy. When the primary chakras are not functioning correctly, the physical body will vibrate at lower frequency. Chakra healing is a straightforward process requiring nothing more than your conscious intent and visualization skills. When you open your chakras, you are essentially “powering up” your ethereal body. Chakra healing removes unwanted frequency, which allows the chakra to function normally. After healing each primary chakra, there is a symbiotic frequency increase within the ethereal body. When most of the primary chakras are healed, and the system is realigned and balanced, the flow of Qi energy is naturally restored. Working with the Subtle Energy Field’s that are within and around our bodies, DesertStar Healing facilitates the Balancing of Physical, Emotional, Mental, & Spiritual Energies.

Color Therapy

Color Therapy

Color Therapy or Chromotherapy is the practice of treating bodily disharmonies with color and/or light, in the seven primary colors of the rainbow, and can be implemented in a number of ways. Colors are certain wavelengths of electro-magnetic energy, it may employ gemstones, candles, prisms, wands, optical aids, and fabric. Color Therapy is based on the premise that specific colors have healing and restorative properties related to certain areas of the physical or emotional being. Color Therapy utilizes this sensitivity to color to identify and correct any imbalances in the body’s internal energy patterns that might lead to emotional or physical ailments. Each organ and body system has its own characteristic vibrational energy, and disorders can be healed by applying color of the corresponding vibrational energy, either to the whole body or to the organ concerned. When the vibration and energy of a particular organ is disturbed by disease or distress, bringing that organ together with its related color, restores homeostasis. Light, which flows in through the human eye triggers internal hormone production that controls the complex biochemical system of our bodies. Light absorbed through exposure to sun or artificial sources, also influences are emotional and physical well-being. Color therapy in some instances, mimics the natural absorption of color from light, to supply what we may need to keep our bodies and minds in balance. DesertStar Healing applies color in the form of light, tools, visualizations or verbal suggestions to correct these imbalances and integrates Sound Therapy for Individualized Healing Session’s. Color Therapy can be used to treat a wide variety of physical, mental, emotional or spiritual problems. In addition to healing specific ailments, it also provides healing and succor to the entire metaphysical body. It also promotes health and well-being. There are no known contraindications associated with color therapy and it can safely be used on infants, children, the aged and the infirm.

Colors Effect Us in Different Ways:

Color is one of the languages of the soul, just look at inspired or meditative paintings.
They influence our mood and emotions.
They have their impact on our sense of well-being or uneasiness.
Using and avoiding certain colors is a way of self-expression; it sheds light on our personality.
Colors affect our way of perception (light colors make a space look big, a high ceiling looks less high when painted in a dark color, etc.)
Colors have a symbolic meaning which is immediately recognized by our subconsciousness. It must be said that not all colors mean the same to all persons and all cultures.
They influence the flow and amount of energy in our bodies.
Colors tell something about biological attraction and sexual availability.

A Few Common Ailments and Their Corresponding Colors:

Traditional Practices

The use of Color as a form of Therapy dates back to the Ancient Therapeutic Practices of India, China and Egypt. There is evidence of belief in the power of colors in Ancient Egyptian times, where houses were built with colored panes of glass in the roof, through which the sun could shine and treat the patient sitting inside. The wearing of colored silks according to the disorder in question was also practiced, allowing the patient to sit in the direct sun. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, each organ is associated with a color. The practice of Qi Gong, links healing sounds with the color. Asian medicine has shown us how meridians carry energy through our bodies, connecting to each of the organs in turn. Acupuncture is used to remove blockages in the meridians energy flow, and color is used in the same way. Many practitioners claim that the roots lie in Ayurveda, an ancient form of medicine in India that dates back thousands of years. Ayurveda embraces the belief that every person contains the same five basic elements of the universe: air, water, fire, earth and space. The proportions present in each individual, is directly related to their personality and nature. When these elements are thrown out of balance by willful act or illness, Ayurvedic Medicine employs the energy inherent in the colors of the spectrum, to restore harmony. Ayurvedic Medicine describes the body as having seven main chakras, which are spiritual centers located along the spinal column that are associated with a color, function and organ or bodily system. These spiritual centers may become imbalanced and result in physical diseases but these imbalances can be corrected through using the appropriate color as a treatment.

Tibetan Pulsing

Tibetan Pulsing

Tibetan Pulsing is a form of light acupressure and a relaxing bodywork technique with a powerful energy process. It aims to bring about deep healing and transformation on all levels. Tibetan Pulsing works to transform emotional and physical imbalances that are held in the body, and balances the emotions, relaxes the mind and renews the physical body. Tibetan Pulsing does not work by analyzing the mind it goes straight to the root of problems such as depression, emotional stress, anxiety, fear, grief and low confidence. There are twenty four energy circuits that are incorporated into this comprehensive healing system. These include the various organs of the body such as the kidneys, spleen and adrenals. This healing technique enables us to work through painful experiences that have been held in our system and have taken up our energy for years. Whenever emotions are transformed the body, mind, spirit feels greatly unburdened and fresh insights emerge. As this healing occurs we rediscover our inner knowing that has long been lost to us. With Tibetan Pulsing, the trauma is released without re-experiencing the event and the difficult events from the past may no longer carry the same tension and meaning, allowing us to forgive ourselves and others. The results may be profound and far reaching, with physical tensions releasing and emotional well being returning. A new strength and confidence may arise and can transmit to peoples work, relationships, creativity and health. Many feel a sense of empowerment and notice that their relationships become more nourishing. This is simply because the energy is no longer held back in various patterns of suffering. Tibetan Pulsing clears and balances the nervous system, aids in healing ailments, and restores the body’s natural energy flow. We are pulsating beings. The pulse is light, light is love. Our vital life force never stops pulsing.  Pulsing is a natural and powerful way of healing and regenerating ourselves from the deepest level. Chakra Balancing

~ Chakra Balancing ~

At the central core of our body spin seven main wheel-like energy centers called Chakras. Chakras have the ability to receive, assimilate and transmit energy. Each Chakra is a vortex, spinning life-force energy into or out of the body. The word Chakra is from the Sanskrit word meaning “wheel of light”. There are 7 major Chakras connected to and a part of the physical body. All are located on the head and torso. Each Chakra transmits and receives life-force energy often called “Chi”, “Prana”, or “Universal Intelligence”. There are also many minor Chakras, most of which are located at the joints of the physical body. When we are unbalanced, the Chakras may be distorted, out of alignment or even stagnant. When this happens, life force energy cannot flow in and out freely and the physical body may suffer; stress, inability to express emotions, over emotional expression, beliefs incongruent with truth, disconnection from a higher power, unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, exposure to toxicity, etc. can cause the Chakra System to close down. We have seven main Chakra Centers and each main center is connected to our being on several different levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. On the physical level each Chakra governs a main organ or gland, which is then connected to other body parts that resonate at the same frequency. Every organ, gland and body system is connected to a Chakra and each Chakra is connected to a color vibrational frequency. Each Chakra resonates with a particular frequency of vibration and is an integral part of Energy Medicine. When one part of a chakra center is out of sync it may eventually effect its other parts and possibly its neighboring chakra. When a chakra center is out of balance it generally means that it is over-active or under-active, or possibly congested or blocked. If this happens it is usually felt on a mental, emotional or physical level. To help balance the Chakras–whether on an emotional, intellectual, physical or spiritual level–we need to bring in the Chakra (color) vibration, which resonates at the same frequency. Chakras are balanced by inviting them back to their natural state of vibration & frequency using color, light, sound, aroma, touch, etc. By stimulating the senses in a favorable way, the Nervous System and therefore, the Chakras are balanced. The physical body is a unit made of many different integral parts that are designed to be self-correcting. The body’s job is to maintain balance and the free-flow of energy. Chakra Balancing heals both the body and spirit. When you have the balanced Chakra the individual accepts other energies whether the situation is imbalanced or balanced. A healthy Chakra is one that is spinning rapidly in a clockwise direction, with no blocks to stop the flow of the Chi or Prana (Universal Energy or Life Force) that we need to live.

*All Chakras are inter-related, although they rule over different characteristics and functions. If one Chakra is unbalanced, it could be due to the Chakra below or above it being unbalanced. They work individually and cooperatively at the same time.  Therefore, it is important when balancing and clearing the Chakras that they be treated simultaneously, that is to say, in the same session.

7 Chakra System

1. Base/Root Chakra

The First Chakra is located at the base of the spine, and includes the lower back, legs and feet. Its color vibration is black or red. The mother earth energy from the center of the planet is absorbed through the feet, which is a grounding energy. It allows us to feel safe and protected on the planet, and balances our basic materialistic needs connected to survival, such as food, sex, and money. The base chakra is the home of the Kundalini  (snake or coil)energy. As this energy is awakened through increased awareness, it rises up the spinal cord through the chakras till it reaches the top of the head. At this point, it is said one will experience a powerful enlightenment.

2. Sacral Chakra

The Second Chakra is located above the pubic bone and includes the pelvic area, genitals and reproductive organs. Also the gallbladder, spleen, kidneys and pancreas are governed by this chakra. Its color vibration is orange. It rules the balance of passion, sexual energy, creativity in any form, and fertilization. Sensuality and pleasure, inspiration and concentration are centered in this chakra.

3. Solar Plexus

The Third Chakra is located two inches above the navel, and includes the digestive organs and the liver. Its color is yellow to brownish yellow. It balances the appetite, and sense of self worth, and the right to prosperity. It is the seat of self confidence and self control. When in balance, the desire for power and authority is kept in check. The solar plexus stores many types of emotional trauma, as well.

4. Heart  Chakra

The Fourth Chakra is located in the sternum at the breast bone. It includes the heart, lungs, middle and upper back, blood circulation and vibrates to pink and green. It is the center of attitudes toward love. This includes self love, love for the family, friends, community and ultimately love of the Universe. It balances compassion, understanding and forgiveness. An open and healthy heart chakra is vital to allow the flow of energy from the lower three chakras up to the higher three.

5. Throat Chakra

The Fifth Chakra is located at the throat, at the Adam’s Apple.  It includes the throat, neck, mouth, ears, and thyroid gland. Its colors are light blue, dark blue, and turquoise. It is the center of communication, self expression, creativity and sincerity. It allows us to speak our truth with self confidence, and find inner peace in order to be relaxed and calm.

6. Third Eye

The Sixth Chakra is located at the forehead between and slightly above the eyebrows. It includes the eyes, the head, the brain stem, and pituitary and pineal glands. Its colors are indigo, purple and violet. An open third eye allows intuition to flow freely to one’s awareness.  It will enhance insight, visions, concentration and the ability to see auras and chakras, and the connection to one’s divine guidance and higher self.

7. Crown Chakra

The Seventh Chakra is located at the top of the head, and its color can be pure white or gold. It includes the brain and the head. It allows the energy of the higher dimensions and the Source to fill the body and soul. It enhances feelings of Divinity, oneness, and unity. The purest of healing energies flows through an open crown chakra, and spreads to the heart and hands in order to heal others. It teaches the lessons of living only in the present moment, which contains one’s power.
